Marianne Williamson
Nicole was born a very sensitive child, a trait that many people have, but like many born this way, various negative life experiences pushed her into creating protective walls and guarding herself from people and life itself. Although she only allowed a select few to be close to her, those few demonstrated that they felt safe with her, as she was often the only person they would go to for help, love, and nonjudgmental understanding during their deepest challenges.
Even with her personal walls intact, as she entered adulthood she noticed that even strangers felt compelled to open their hearts to her and express some of their deepest personal and life experiences. Eventually she realized these were signs pointing her toward her purpose. She decided to take aligned action by taking her natural gifts of compassion and passion for helping others into pursuing her post-graduate degree in psychology with a focus in assisting children and families.
While fulfilling in many respects, the experience gained in professional and personal traditional therapies made apparent the lack of solutions in the mindset and outcomes of western therapy and medicine. These observations along with her passion for self-development led her into research of alternative modalities, modalities with often ancient roots. Some of these modalities included powerful traditional medicines such as Kambo, the burgeoning world of psychedelic therapy, body-focused actions like breathwork and yoga, and methods of interaction with the subtle forces of the body such as in the discipline of Reiki.
What followed was an astounding and rapid progression of personal breakthroughs, ones that never reconciled by traditional methods. The deep patterns, the walls made and maintained since childhood, the perfectionism, the protective ego, and the habits and traumas running on autopilot were quickly identified and systematically dismantled as she finally broke to the other side of joy, purpose, and the desire to serve and show others the “alternative” way.
During this life changing personal journey, Nicole was simultaneously working with children in a professional setting. She began to notice a significant increase in behavior and mental health disorders in children from every type of family background. As often is the case, the parents were a large part of the problem but most were unaware of their own unhealthy patterns and behaviors. The realization hit home that there was not much anyone could do to “fix” the core problem if their toxic home life stayed the same. This led to a recognition…adults needed support even more than the children! Western societies' traditional ways cannot be the answer, this type of healing requires going deep into subconscious programming, a depth that normal disciplines fail to reach.
Now, with her own experience and ongoing research in alternative modalities and the discipline of professional western psychology, she was equipped to begin discovering methods of utilizing the knowledge gained and applying it to different goals, disorders, and attainment of client growth. One of the most prevalent mistakes made in the alternative field is a lack of pre-experience intention and post-experience integration. Well intentioned people have often utilized these medicines and modalities with no plan in place and expected it to just "click". If these same people entrust someone to lead them, more often than not it is by an individual who does not possess the background discipline, knowledge, or experience that aligns not only with the intentions of the originators of the modalities but also with the step-by-step plans necessary for true self evolution. Nicole understands that intention is necessary for unlocking the subconscious and opening the doors to healing. A proper plan in place will make the evolutionary process more efficient and focused.
Another common pitfall in this arena is lack of integration. Integration uses the “initial draft” built by the pre-experience intention, the “blueprint” or plan created from the experience with the medicine itself, and becomes the foundation and framework for the new self, the new “house”. This methodical approach helps prevent the unfortunate trend of reliance on substances "enlightened states”. Failing to absorb the lessons contained within the entire experience can lead to the hamster wheel of experience chasing, or what I call Experience Pursuit Syndrome™ rather than bringing true change to one’s inner being. The greatest understandings and healings most often reveal themselves in the weeks following the experience if you give them a chance to flourish.
Nicole is passionately inspiring others to view these experiences differently and earnestly demonstrating that it is not the substance/medicine that heals you...it's YOU working daily to integrate what those experiences showed you. The medicines may hand you the tools, but you must use those tools to unearth the buried treasures that reside deep in your being.
Those that claim the title of “healer” often have good intentions but often have not come to realize that the only person who can heal oneself is oneself. By claiming the ability to heal others a co-dependency can develop much like Experience Pursuit Syndrome™.
Healing and self-evolution should be handled with care and every conceivable precaution should be taken. Nicole is not a "healer" and feels strongly that only you can heal yourself, but she helps those ready to discover their inner healer with the help of some ancient methods, knowledge, and wisdom methodically and passionately applied in the modern world. Nicole is a vessel that is here to lovingly and safely guide you back to your truest, most joyful, and loving version of YOU.
